I think so too. On Monday he wasn't really sure who his constituency was. Maybe immigrants? Maybe Muslims? Who knows, they're all claiming ownership of poor Jim Webb.
But after his Tuesday night cloture vote, I think he got an unambiguous clarification about who suppports him, and who will be committed to destroying him if he votes for this thing.
He was very nervous and looked sick at the podium yesterday.
He got the message.
Webb is totally out of his depth.
