Here we are again my friends, hopefully for the last debate thread on this particular monstrous legislation. Proceedings are supposed to begin at 9:30 a.m. EST, with the cloture vote being taken at 10:30 a.m.
On a personal note, you've all been wonderful in your passion, vigilance, and commitment to the principles on which our country was founded. If I have to be in a foxhole, I want to be in it with you guys.
Brownback is definitely one of them. Some like Voinivich and Warner had the advantage of voting after the result was already known.
The ones who voted to bring this bill back all need to be out of office. We wouldn't have been in this mess to begin with if they had voted correctly in the previous cloture motion.
Awesome! Today was a great day for Patriots on the Right and the Left.
Semper fi,
Chris in Sedona
We should send ALL no’s a Thank You card. I am for sure and my two Texas Senators alread have Thank you emails
Is Sessions staying in DC through tomorrow? or does he go back to his home state?
I’m thinking of sending flowers myself...to him.
Don’t know what El Jefe Jorge said about fence funding. It doesn’t matter. He exhausted any political capital he had and the tank is now less than empty.
It’s up to us to push for enforcement now.
Gee, I wonder why....
Black Back to the Back of the Line Black unemployment and illegal immigration.
Ooh, GREAT colors. Everybody...we're suggesting FLOWERS for our patriot, Jeff Sessions. Hope he gets a zillion bouquets!
I had no idea that thing ever existed.
I especially love the post by one of them that called all of us that called the Senators “stupid f*cks.”
These staffers are so much smarter than we are. I feel priviledged to know they even exist! /s
AMEN!
Article II Section 3 of the U. S. Constitution
"...he shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed..."
We share appreciate and pride in our TX senators and their votes. (Although I was a little worried about Kay for a bit) Thankfully she came around.
Deus, sorry I don’t have a current vote tally, I’m sure it’ll be posted here or elsewhere on FR soon.

Let’s all get together on the flowers.
Irrelevant.
Nicely done! Very nicely done!
Who were the chickens who didn’t vote? And which of the GOP “Yes” voters voted “Yes” this time?

Thanks for being the keeper of the thread. 51597+ page views must be close to a record for FR threads.
I’ll get a sore hand over the weekend, writing out a personal message on all the cards.:-) And I do like the flowers idea-red, white, and blue carnations....
thanks very much for posting that...was just trying to find that info.
I agree. Absolutely agree.
We had a similiar thing last year in the Minnesota Legislature. The people (in polling and phone calls said NO, we don’t want to pay for a new professional baseball stadium”.
The big business boys said “Oh yes, you actually do”.
And we ended up ponying up the cash for a new baseball stadium built for a billionaire who didn’t spend his own money.
Bottom line here? Yes, the pro-amnesty business community will be back. We’ll have to fight them again.
But let’s enjoy this for a day or two.
Live Free or Die Hard!!! Let freedom ring!!
LOL,,,there outta be a “Flat Duck” on the yellow-line...;0)
