Here we are again my friends, hopefully for the last debate thread on this particular monstrous legislation. Proceedings are supposed to begin at 9:30 a.m. EST, with the cloture vote being taken at 10:30 a.m.
On a personal note, you've all been wonderful in your passion, vigilance, and commitment to the principles on which our country was founded. If I have to be in a foxhole, I want to be in it with you guys.

If they voted for cloture, debate would continue for a little while, and then the POS would pass.
Has anyone brought up the cost, who does the health screenings and where are the monies alloted, what will happen with the rest who come in after, the UN treaty sections on pages 388-89 that ties our hands in our country, the end of sanctuary cities, the allowance of child molesters, gang members to apply, who’s taking care of the families of seasonal workers (btw, this kills H2Bs) the rest of the year, the end of bilingual ed and monies allowed and repayment from countries for what’s been paid out for their citizens in this bill... along with cutting off aid to said countries? I thought not.
How about job security (not according to the rigged unemployment index), for Americans... as in 100% employment for citizens first (kill welfare except in serious medical issues), then only bring in specific people for occupations.
Oh, and that there’s no mention of helping legal immigrants?
Except for doubling and tripling their costs... I wonder why?
Who will hold Mexico accountable instead of enabling them, sending them aid and millions on water projects there while we pay for the birthing, schooling, medical, social services, law enforcement, prisons, tuition here.
As for as the stories... Ellis was an island for a reason.
People were quarantined and others sent back when necessary... and they came legal. No comparison.

How recent is this news? Cochran just spoke a 1/2 hour ago on the Senate and said he’ll vote NO. Please confirm this news.
If he has changed his mind again, we’ll call him and let him know.
