Apparently the big cloture vote is Thursday; keep the communications coming.

Good idea. If they lose the money, that's the time they pay attention. Hit the GOP with a refund demand. That's the clearest way you can the Open Borders folks in the party a message.

Under the Beck decision, unions have to refund that portion of dues spent on political activity that union members disagree with — why should Senators be any different?

I think the Beck decision only applies in cases of closed shop (required membership) unions. Open shop unions and political parties are voluntary orgainzations, thus the Beck decision wouldn't apply to them.

Michelle Malkin has a great idea — people who've donated (however small the amount) to the GOP campaign committees or to any of the Ted Kennedy Republicans should call and demand a refund.

Better yet, Conservatives should leave the increasingly socialistic Republican party and form their own party.

The way I see (thought I could be wrong) is that the BIG cloture vote was yesterday.

The GOP member of the Senate had a chance to kill of this monstrosity once and for all - and they didn’t.

I see this bill passing the Senate in a few days - once many “dissenting” Senators are placated by being given small concession in the bill.

Yeah! I want my $1.00 back!!

Sent the dollar in an RNC envelope with a note that my usual donation would go to the MinuteMan project and individual candidates.

Why can't politicians be sued for breech of contract???

I agree. Whatever chance we had to stop it--if we ever had a chance--has passed us by.

Last week, I e-mailed Senator Norm Coleman’s campaign office and made it clear that if the Senator voted either (a) for cloture and/or (b) for the final bill that I would be reconsidering any future financial and volunteer support.

After yesterday, I’ve made up my mind. I’m no long reconsidering. I am going to do it. I will be calling Coleman’s campaign office and telling them “Sorry, but no more money. Not one cent.”

Why can't politicians be prosecuted for fraud?

Since they are acting like people who have been bought and paid for by SOMEONE,I don’t know how effective asking for refunds will be.

Why is Ted still there, after murdering a young woman? Because the people of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts love him.

Why is Barney Frank still there, after running a homosexual prostitution ring out of his DC office? Because the people of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts love him.

They would refund our money in pesos, and we all know those are worthless.

Not only am I going to ask for a refund of money, I am also going to register as INDEPENDENT. No longer will I blindly be a sheep. This immigration bill is NO GOOD for middle class America, and will ultimately result in a serious degradation of our traditional values and culture.

“Why is Ted still there, after murdering a young woman? Because the people of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts love him.”

You know what? I’ve been wondering a lot lately about that. I mean, the man is a drunk, most likely a drug abuser too, sleeps around, killed a girl (and that’s the only one we know about for sure), and so is it a BIG stretch of the imagination to say that maybe he HASN’T been winning elections for the past 350 years? His dad bought off plenty of cities, and that’s no secret. His family made its money in bootlegging, so I don’t think it’s so far-fetched to say that they’ve been rigging his reelections.
