OK then-fair question: do you think GW has fought harder for Social Security reform or amnesty? I think he has fought a lot harder for amnesty than he ever did for his social security reform package. He tried, but others on FR were too busy worrying about what type of employees those evil businessman were hiring to grow food and build houses, rather than reforming a social security system that sucks all of us dry.

His base was behind him on Social Security reform, heck find a dozen posts by Freepers who thought reforming Social Security was a bad idea-but he eventually gave up on it. Now a good part of his base is against him on manesty and he suddenly has great reserves of resolve.
What's wrong with that picture?
