That's the easy part that should have been done years ago.
What do we do with the tidal wave that is already here? They have intermarried, had children, bought business, bought homes, they are employees and employers.
This is a Gregorian Knot of monumental proportions. Banks and whole industries are caught up in it and that means we are all caught up in it.
This will be a major disruption to us all. Just wait until the lawyers, activist judges, and feel good liberals muck up the process.
And who is going to unravel this mess? The immigration department? They can't even process the passports, they can't keep track of the Visas; our bloated government bureaucracy is liable to collapse.
No doubt about it. We have a very serious problem and there are not going to be any easy answers.
If it's so easy why haven't they done it yet? It's beyond me. The problem is huge, as you say, and yet we are doing nothing to stop the invasion. Why wouldn't we at least contain it and deal with the ones we have here now?
Start enforcing the laws, hold employers acountable. If we stop the influx, at least we can start getting rid of some, attrition style. It doesn't have to be all at once, contrary to hyperbole. Many illegals would leave on their own with the cessation of (forced) taxpayer handouts.
