If you build it...they won't come ;-)
“insulting” for property owners to decide to control their own property. NOT.
Those nativists.

Gee too bad.. you should have thought about that Mohammad when your father betrayed India and seceded to form the “Islamic homeland”.
Seems the Bangledeshies are melting down Indian money to make razor blades. One good reason to build a fence.
Wow...that is a bizarre article. The things these muslim barbarians will do are astounding.
1,550 miles in seven years. Wonder how much the U.S. (without government red tape) could have built since 9/11?
India builds a 2,050 mile fence for $1.2B, but here in the U.S. a 700 mile fence costs $2.2B (and that’s the low estimate!).
“The Bangladesh government made a few complaints; the fence felt like an insult, as if their country was a plague that needed to be quarantined; but soon gave up.”
The Beltway political class must do what’s right for America instead of pandering to the Mexican govt. I am sure that the Mexicans will feel “insulted,” but if pols in DC show any spine, they’ll give up too and get used to reality.
There is one significant difference between the two cases though. In the US, we have a president who is more interested in “rights” for criminals than he is interested in enforcing the law.
“India builds a 2,050 mile fence for $1.2B, but here in the U.S. a 700 mile fence costs $2.2B (and thats the low estimate!).”
Ditch tech support, time to call in the Indians for Outsourced engineering support, seems like.
Really, given the harsher terrain and the higher cost of labor in the US, that sounds about right.
‘two rows of 10-foot-high barbed wire barriers, the posts studded with ugly spikes the size of a toddler’s fingers’
Now thats a fence. Ours with Mexico will probably have turnstiles.
Maybe India can build the Mexican Border fence where the nation that built the Panama Canal and the Hoover Dam, created air planes, conquered polio, and placed a man on the moon cannot.
It's not a lack of nowhow that has paralysed the U.S.A. It's DECADENCE--the LEFT! That and electing fools to public office--fools like George Bush! Lindsey Graham! Trent Lott! And let's not start on the Democrats--Diane Feinstein, Barbara Boxer, John Kerry, the Clintons, John Edwards--the list goes on and on and on! There's not enough bandwidth for the Democrats!
If the U.S.A. is to survive the Decadence that threatens our survival, we must render the Left impotent and kick these Decadent jackasses out of public office--every damn one of them--Republican, Democrat, who cares! Throw them ALL out!
They should be jailed for what they've done to our nation!
And for what they are trying NOW to do!
I’ve worked on several outsourcing projects, the difference in cost of labor is not as extreme as this example (not nearly), albeit my experience is in a much more skilled industry than fence building.
Hey, if we’re going to allocate H2B visas, might as well use them in a productive manner.
I think we need to hire these folks to supervise construction of our much needed fence. They knew where to locate the will to build a fence, something our professionals cannot do.
There are about 92 Bangladeshi enclaves (pieces of Bangladesh territory completely surrounded by Indian territory) on the Indian side of the line and about 106 Indian enclaves on the Bangladeshi side of the border.
See this map:

In some cases, on the above map, you have Bangladesh territory, which is surrounded by Indian territory, which is surrounded by Bangladesh Territory...
Not a bad idea : )
