What idiocy.
It seems to be, based on the cover that they have a picture of, (also, several of the nation names are the exact same, so, I’m going to say this is it)
And having said this is it, I think it is a book everyone in America should read. I do think it oversimplifies things by not factoring in specific things in the various nations, for example, in the gulf states, the divide between the coast and the interior, but, I found it to be spot on. As someone who travels the country alot, I have often experienced culture shock.
I'm sure that's the book the poster was referring to. I read it when it first came out - it's right on the mark. The books geographical divisions are much more realistic than state lines. Northern Indiana and Ohio have much more in common with Southern Michigan than the southern sections of those states have much more in common with Kentucky & Tennessee than they do with the northern parts of those states.
Do yourself a favor and read this book - its very interesting.
