re: Tuesday for Thompson?   [Kathryn Jean Lopez]

I have good reason to tell you that's not the case.

Fred Thompson May or May Not Announce “Something” Next Week

With speculation running rampant across the Republican Party and hopes that a conservative savior will lead the party to victory in 2008, Fred Thompson is expected to announce his intentions to run next week. Note that his staff has denied the announcement will be an official entry into the race as a presidential candidate, but nevertheless, it is a one step closer.

Everything's in place for Tuesday," the source told WSMV. "There are three major events built around his announcement." But Bob Davis, the Tennessee Republican Party Chairman, and Thompson's former Chief of Staff says "There will not be an announcement Tuesday."
So it is denied by a close advisor. But, if it is the case this story is true, Thompson will run his campaign from Nashville and announce his “intentions” on the steps of the Fall School Building.

My hunch is if this story turns out to be false, he will announce "something" around the 4th of July.

Yea RonDog, I doubt he is going to announce next Tuesday.

The longer he waits the better IMO.

This is unprecedented to have so many candidates already with their hats (and sombreros) in the ring.

Thompson sitting on the sidelines and doing his comments is brilliant.

The Earlybirds were so “smart”, and some of them are getting eaten by their worms...LOL

I also hope he doesn't announce on the Fourth of July. Better to avoid that great celebration, and announce later. The later the better IMO.
