Funny you say that. That candidate whose name is unspeakable here on FR (King Bloombergs’ predecesor as NYC Mayor) was definitely electable...until now.

A Bloomberg candidacy hurts Rud_, uh that guy, more than anyone else. I like that guy. He would make a good Director of Homeland Security or even Attorney General in the next administration.

But as a candidate for POTUS, he is cooked if Bloomberg runs. Rush’s prediction of an 80% chance of a Hillary presidency would go up to 100% if that guy wins the GOP nomination. This news probably ruined Rush’s golf vacation.

He’ll shank every Tee shot tomorrow.

Thanks for your reply, (which I thought was hilarious), but I meant that Mark Belling made that prediction, which I hope is true in hurting the Democrats...

Frankly, and I know I’m treading on thin ice here, I might prefer a Hillary presidency to a Rudy presidency. Why? Because Hillary is at least an open liberal dem. You know where she stands and the GOP would feel no hestitancy to oppose everything she’d try to do. She’s an open enemy, easy to target. One of the problems with the Bush pseudo-conservative presidency is that the GOP Congress and rank-and-file Republicans all felt obligated to defend him on numerous crap, because not to do so would be to lend support to the dems. Same thing with Rudy. With President Giuliani as the chief standard-bearer for the GOP, it really would become set as the Liberal Party #2. And then where would we be?
