We only have little “Puss Pockets” of liberalism, mainly along the coastal counties with the exception of maybe one. If we could just lance the “boils” of San Fransicko and Lost Angeles, this would be a hugely “red state!”

True, but those “puss pockets” are where the major population resides. California is a good example of what would happen to the entire U.S. if Hillary gets her way and does away with the Electoral College system, going to a popular vote election. Your “puss pockets” equate to the blue states!
