Where are men like James Madison? You’re so right about the plentitude of Federalists out there “working hard to expand the legal environment for Corporations.”
What America needs instead is LESS of Jefferson’s Federalist , (Madison), but MORE dosages of James Mason or Patrick Henry types (Jefferson’s Repubicans) right about now.
I like Patrick Henry the curmudgeon. He is long gone but his archetype remains. James Madison didn’t say much one way or the other, but he took notes at the Federalist Constitutional Convention so I suspect he was Federalist as any, perhaps not as florid as Hamilton.
