Today, my daughter became a Doctor.
She received an award for the highest GPA in her class.
However, because she didn't go to Guatemala, or take care of Natives...
...the professor who announced the award said...
..."Grades don't mean that much."
I want you all to know that my daughter, during the time when she drove from Portland, to Corvallis, OR, every day to attend an eight o'clock class, was very concerned about her children's welfare.
During that time, she would cut class to help with field trips, to attend parent/teacher conferences, etc.
She busted her butt to be the best parent, and wife,...
AND...daughter that she could be.
The professor who announced her "award" will be hearing from me tomorrow.
Sorry about venting here.
But, thanks for letting me do so.
;o)
Congratulations, dixiechick2000 and daughter. That’s an awesome milestone, untarnished by PC gameplaying.
How proud you must be! I’m so sorry that socialism got in the way of your daughter’s recognition, but she will be rewarded for her hard work many times over with rewarding jobs and continued success from the discipline she has learned!
Nothing shameless about covering your loved one’s back, defending them from some spineless leftist twit.
YOU GO GIRL!
Thx for posting that
bttt
The Professor who said “grades don’t mean that much” probably didn’t have the highest GPA in his graduating class.
Congratulations to your daughter.
I wouldn’t send my daughter overseas anyway. She worked very hard to improve herself and I think that’s a great thing and it’s how real progress is made.
I would add, “idiot professors aren’t worth much”!
Congratulations to your daughter and all of her hard work!
A big hug for you and for your Doctor daughter! I wonder if the professor realized how your daughter performed one of her most valuable missions - to be a mother to her own children during this critical time? It is true, that doing charitable work for strangers is worthy; but it is also worthy for our own children as well.
Your daughter now has the ability to do so much good in the world, and she has started well. Congratulations on her high grades, and more importantly, her high standards! She will be a blessing - and in turn, she will be blessed...
Portland to Corvallis everyday???? That’s a long commute!!!
Is she the new internest coming to Newport in July?
The professor who announced her "award" will be hearing from me tomorrow.
Ya know, you could always post an e-mail addy here. Maybe the poooofessor would like to hear from all of us.;-)
Ten years from now she won’t even remember that fool’s name. If he’s so great, why isn’t he in practice?
Congratulations. With the tuition paid, you owe OSU nothing. Onward!
You must have some smart kids, dixiechick2000.
Many Congrats to you and your daughter....give those socialist rats hell....
A. "Doctor."
Consider the source, and ignore it. Anyone with the determination, perseverance, and evident decency of dixiechick2000's daughter has everything to look forward to. Well done!
