Gas stations here in eastern South Dakota have started running out of gas this week and local terminals also have no supplies. Prices are however down...I paid $2.75 at Sam's Club. We have a serious energy crisis and Congress is only proposing solutions that will guarantee higher prices and gas rationing.
One piece of good news...a Texas oil company is proposing to build a new refinery near Elk Point, SD ...the nation's first in over 30 years. Fortunately there aren't many tree huggers and environmentalist wackos in South Dakota so it may actually get built.

They may not be in your state, but they will come to you from other states. Look at Alaska, they wanted to drill for oil, the majority of Alaskans are for it, but tree huggers from all over prevailed and congress backed down.
