I wondered that myself. I think he might have been at the other signing ceremony down in Arizona.

“I’ve always suspected the main problem is that he has a low IQ. This whole amnesty push essentially proves the point.”

You figuered him out on that point better than me. I thought he just had a problem with public speaking - many people do and it doesn;t necessarily indicate ;ow intellect.
But now its apparent how dumb the guy really is - and obstaniate.

The interesting thing is how well he performed in debates against Gore and Kerry - indications of how very stupid THEY are.

“”Each day our nation fails to act, the problem only grows worse,” Bush said...”

Well, maybe if you would enforce the laws already on the books, but no...

How much longer with this man?

And now we must add the ELITES – and elite wannabes -- in the Senate de Estados Unitos to the list of those who have sold out our formerly sacred birthright.

As early as 10 years ago, when he was my representative, I was a regular at Newt’s Town Hall Meetings where I spoke in support of the FairTax. 70% or more of the others who took the mike were visibly ANGRY ABOUT THE FAILURE TO STOP THE GROWING FLOW OF ILLEGALS! (At several sessions, Newt suggested the 100,000 IRS agents be given weapons and sent down to the border with Mexico.)

Under Bush, that flow became a TORRENT!

I attempted to phone Isakson’s and Chambliss’ Senate offices on 5-21-07. In both cases, my call was dumped into a voice mailbox – where a cheery female voice informed me “The mailbox is full.”

They CLEARLY don’t care WHAT we think!

DO TRY TO GET THAT MEMORY OVER THE TRADITIONAL 20 NANOSECOND LEVEL AND HOLD THE THOUGHT THROUGH NOVEMBER ’08!

Newt Gingrich (he of the “Wet Finger in the Wind” school of politics) sent out an email on 5-21 which stated the following:

”The announcement last week that the White House and a group of senators have reached an agreement on "comprehensive immigration reform" should have the same effect that the word "iceberg" had on the passengers and crew of the Titanic. This proposed agreement is a disaster of the first order, and it will severely cripple America for the foreseeable future.

”You can tell how bad this bill is by the Senate Democratic leadership's announced goal of trying to pass it before the Memorial Day weekend.” Newt Gingrich

Duncan Hunter was on Larry King the other night. The somewhat hostile King showed a clip of Arlen "Magic Bullet" Specter bloviating on the Senate floor that it was not possible to "round up" all the illegals and deport them.

Hunter countered by saying that when a city in Colorado imposed REAL penalties on the magnet employers who were drawing the criminal invaders there, the invaders LEFT when the jobs dried up.

Some went to more “hospitable” locales. Many returned to Mexico.

That 5 pound Shamnisty bill they just voted could be cut to one paragraph calling for NATIONAL enforcement – with meaningful penalties – of that provision.

Sure works for me.

In ABSTRACT terms, this is the conspiratorial view of what’s going on vis-à-vis the INVASION of the illegals here:

The current alien invasion from the south serves BOTH the elites who run Mexico – and many of the OTHER states of Central and South America -- and the political ruling class who increasingly run the United States:

· It takes pressure off the 60 or so families who control approximately 80% of the wealth in Mexico. Without the northern “safety valve” (the United States) for their poor, those poor MIGHT be inclined to do what America’s early colonists found it necessary to do: Revolt! Parenthetically, that would be MY suggestion for them: Instead of fleeing here – and converting “here” to a larger, more poverty infested version of “there,” they ought to stay there and make “there” into their version of “here,” whatever that would be. Revolutions ARE messy and there are no guarantees that they will produce the desired result. But – according to one T. Jefferson – they are often necessary. Never forget that THIS country was born in revolution!

· For the NAFTA/CAFTA coveting US national ruling class – especially those who, in varying degrees, quest after some sort of One-World utopia run by guess who? – it provides yet another level of insecurity and tension among the indigenous populace which can be used to justify new and more draconian limits to freedom here. Instead of securing the borders, allow millions of illegals to come in and when the natives become alarmed, require a national ID card. “Your papers, please!” will soon become a phrase familiar to all. It’s Mr. Franklin’s trade of freedom for (false) security. It’s also the time-tested Hegelian Dialectic the One-Worlders have successfully worked like a rented mule.

While they occasionally squabble among themselves, the elites of history have ALL had one thing in common: They will do ANYTHING to remain in charge. And throughout that history, except for the 230 year-old experiment in freedom called “America,” most of the men who have walked the earth have lived as slaves to these elites whether they call themselves kings, emperors, potentates, sultans, czars – or presidents.

Get ready, folks. Unless some SERIOUS changes are made and the handful of Americans who CARE about liberty get involved, that history will almost certainly repeat here.

Now for the SPECIFICS of the matter:

My take on Bush's role in all of this is:

1. His long and apparently positive experience with the large hispanic population in Texas is largely responsible for his inaction on this alien invasion. And why wouldn't HIS experience with them be positive as he traveled in the highest, best-educated circles among them, not the Hispanic gangbangers and pine-straw spreaders...

2. His brother Jeb is married to a native of Mexico and his nieces and nephews are mixed blood. And before you scream "ethnocentric bigot" at me, there's nothing inherently wrong with that. But that fact -- and the first item -- DOES predispose him to a warm and fuzzy feeling for folks from south of the Rio Grande.

And if -- in some strange and metastasizing American desire for a new royal family dynasty -- Jeb should win the White House in some future presidential beauty contest designed to divert the American electorate every four years, I'd bet that HIS activities toward this alien invasion will make W's behavior look like a warm-up exercise.

Any vestige of white European culture will be a distant memory.

What is wrong with that idea?

It focuses on border security first. This is not what the proponents of the current bill want. Their objectives are:

Cheap labor (for business)
An electorate of poor, uneducated people who will be dependent on big government for benefits (for the Democrats)

Phony border security plans (with lots of loopholes) are just something the Congress critters serve up to attempt to calm the sheeple. But they have no intention of passing anything, such as your plan, which is serious and has teeth.

In light of what is happening ....

..makes one wonder if Bush took the spotlight off Hunter, and put it on himself?

I really want to know...

..is this the norm....?

..to have a bill signing without inviting the one who pushed through the bill???

maybe if you would enforce the laws already on the books

See my post #78 - if Bush were to enforce existing law, it would have a tremendous deflationary effect. He bet the future of the country to achieve short-terms gains in the WoT; now the first interest payments on the "ballon loan" are coming due.

There's one way out of this mess, but it's too bold and makes too much sense: ship out the 12-20m illegal aliens and replace them at the same time with 12-20m legal immigrants from throughout the world.

This action would not only offset the economic hit, but more importantly, it would serve to limit racial block dynamics. IOW, if no single group was a majority, or didn't come from a neighboring country, the drive to assimilate would be much greater.

If this immigration bill goes through, I might even start a campaign of calling and writing Pelosi and Hoyer to demand impeachment hearings.

Who cares about the GOP if America is destroyed?

Oh, there will be a time in the final tumult in which they should be remembered, and repaid.

Unlike the anti-immigration extremists, the President realizes that our only hope is to win over Hispanic voters.

First, that is not going to happen. Latino Voting in the 2006 Election Realignment to the GOP Remains Distant The Dems are going to get all of the benefits and we will get all the blame. It will also destroy the Rep Party.

More importantly, if it is a matter of crass political calculation to pander to the Hispanic vote and sacrifice the future of this country in the process, then Bush is worthy of our contempt and scorn.

True enough. That's why the GOP mayor of Hazelton lost his primary battle.

Ooops, wait, he won resoundingly. Oh, and he won the Dem primary as well. With write-in votes.

Take your Bush-Aide and serve it to those still willing to drink it.

President Bush obviously realizes that the underlying opposition to undocumented Americans is of a racial nature.

"Undocumented Americans?" LOL. Are you Harry Reid? The term is illegal alien.

You twist basic concepts and play the race card. All in one post. Pathetic. But that’s all the Bush bots have left.

Bush should retire in Mexico and put his Presidential Library there.

He has a hundred thousand acres in Paraguay to run to. He ain't as dumb as he acts. After he kills this nation he can hole up in his Paraguayan compound, safe from the wrath of his former countryman.
