It’s amazing how many seemingly intelligent ppl are just now figuring out GWB. You all had your expectations way too high, and gave him way too much credit. GWB was simply better than the other choice. That’s all. The shock and amazement is sort of baffling to me. Duh.

Not with this old kid. I was one of those that was constantly being called a “conspiracy nut”, a “reactionary”,...no, his agenda became noticed as far back as when Dad was talking about the New World Order. I must give Bush credit in a way — he did FOOL THE MAJORITY for some time after 2000. He kept the pro-illegal, society-engineering agenda well hidden to most...but it really began to show when the illegal issue came up and he constantly ran the other way.

Still most ignored the importance, and guys like me were assailed by the BushBots. No, if anything, please don’t put me in that category, that of the naive, the non-believers. I became clear what he was when the heavy spending and the avoidance of the illegal/border issue started getting swept under the rug, the attacks on the Border agents, the deliberate suppression of their activities started leaking out — this was years ago.

Sad situation for America to witness your own government turn against the core values of America, the rights of the people, and our precious Constitution — because that is EXACTLY what is happening. Our Republic hangs in the balance.

Many of us loyal conservatives and “Reagan Republicans” of F.R. voted for the “compassionate” G.W. Bush as the lesser of two evils just as you did; For what it’s worth, I don’t think the “shock and amazement” (i.e. OUTRAGE) you sense was caused by unrealistically high expectations or giving this President “too much credit”. To put it simply, it is one thing to disappoint; It is quite another to BETRAY your voters, your supporters, your political party, and your country - which is exactly what the President is doing with his push for amnesty...
