When this case first came out the members of the lacrosse team gave an interview where they admitted hiring of a stripper was a dumb move, this was the same interview where they admitted the e-mail, (remember the e-mail quoting American Psycho) was also a dumb move.

As for me, my daughter or someone else in my family becoming I stripper I can only say this. I raised my children to respect all people and to stay as far away from porn and all it’s subscum as possible. Not so much for moral reason but for the decayed life they potentially would be led down.

As for someone in my family, I would do everything in my power, not limited to kidnapping them, to keep them from entering into that lifestyle. HOWEVER - in the end, it would still be up to my family member to make that awful mistake or not.

Sorry, but Magnum and all other women out there who work in the sex industry have choices. They have the choice to spread their legs for money, to show off their bodies for money etc. This attitude that women need to be protected from the vicious likes of men is to Taliban I don’t even want to get into it here.

Imo, both parties, those who buy and those who sell, are equally quilty.

In this case the penalty has been more then sufficient for one group, Magnum, the other part of this get’s off scott free.

Well thanks Brytani for this response without rancor and name-calling.

As for me, I’m done with the stripper thing. My husband is right in the room with me as I type this and I recall very well when I first met him he used to go to strip shows. He’s laughing at the names this “statist” fellow is calling me but he says he’s not proud of going to strip shows. At least not now that he has a daughter and a young granddaughter.

But on to Magnum and Nifong. I read somewhere that the reason Nifong even pursued this case is that he desperately wanted to be a DA as he was planning to retire and the DA salary at the end of his career would give him a bigger pension. Thus he needed to get elected and this thing happened at a most important time in that election process.

I truly believe that a deal was made with Nifong. I think he agreed to voluntary quit the DA office in public for NOT going to jail.

Well I think he should go to jail but hey, maybe that’s overkill. It’s just that I can’t think of any greater injustice than jailing innocent people. But I can almost guarantee this is part of a Nifong deal. I dunno, maybe it’s for the best but I see that Fitzgerald fellow and a Scooter Libby with three young children going to jail and I think it might be time to send a message to prosecutors on a personal vendetta.

As for Crystal Magnum, I wonder why the hell SHE isn’t brought up on charges. Isn’t filing a false criminal complaint a crime? Yes, I suppose this would be overkill but damn if her claims and lies weren’t very blatent. The fact that she’s getting off scot free might tend to encourage other women to make false rape claims. And all this does is make life more difficult for women who are REALLY raped.
