I’ve never been one to think that we should have the government passing LAWS to shape a society in terms of how the majority wants it to function.

Thus I think the objectification of women should not be something a society condones. In the long run it’s just plain bad for a society that should cherish and protect its females. So since I’m not in favor of LAWS shaming men when they participate in low-class behavior such as hiring a stripper or going to strip shows, I take the position that our own personal condemnation should be enough.

Obviously society does not adore the entertainment of women stripping and debasing themselves for men or men who do it. Obviously you don’t have women desirous of growing up to be spectacular strippers or do most intelligent men brag of how many strippers they had over to the house.

I figure if I once in a while express how distasteful this is, and if a few folks join me, we can keep this behavior to a minimum for fear of shame and ridicule of participants.

It’s how society works in case yon folks hadn’t noticed. Note please the male fools who responded so nastily. How are they not like mean-spirited liberals who don’t want you to go complaining about the President’s little blow job in our sacred oval office? It’s because they WANT to do it. And like their liberal counterparts, they not only want to keep on doing it...they want us to LIKE it.

See that’s the part I’m not going along with.

I still think I’m right. Yes, I’ve watched porn movies, yes I’ve bedded more than a few men, yes I’ve watched both women and men strip. I’m perfectly normal.

I just think we, as a society, should be shaming young men who go hiring strippers, of a different race mind you, to come and entertain them while they’re suppose to be studying or having a fun party. It’s sleazy. I don’t think much of those young men. Yes I know it’s legal. Smoking’s legal. In Vegas, prostitution is legal. Doesn’t mean I think it’s a good thing.

Was the above really a dumb post like that one intelligent guy with the cartoon thing says?

You guys are outclassed. Give it up.

Dante,
I want to apologize for posting my rant in response to you. And I don’t know what’s with those duplicate posts but this happened on two different computers so I’m not convinced it me. But it could be...could be....

Gives the nasty guys something else to mock me. Keep my liberal analogy in mind with the responses.

What I wanted to say, Dant....in an earlier post somewhere I said I thought Chrystal Magnum should be prosecuted. MY point was if she walks off scot free after all the trouble she caused then what’s to stop another women from crying rape when it’s convenient. This only hurts women who really WERE raped.

I think those poor kids did the least worst thing of all although the stripper enthusiasts on this board overlook it. But I think if we can shame these youngsters out of this rather icky behavior...well none of it would have happened to begin with.

This will be fun to watch. The only problem, is how can you make a liberal feel shame? They have no concept what that is.

Blame the prosecutor all you want, however, in the end it’s the jury who finds the party guilty that really is wrong....

Yea, but it's sort of a problem if said prosecutor is knowingly hiding evidence that the jury would use to acquit....

First you put the garbage in a bag...

...then you take it out. There will be no justice without a long jail sentence.

I suspect that considering the deep liberalism of Durham that there are many irate Democrats there at the turn of events. I would think that this is the kind of PC monster that they would want as a D.A.

We may know tomorrow. It should wrap up sometime Saturday. There will probably be a quick decision.

I’m not b*tchin’ at you personally, AUG, but here’s my take on this situation:

“The Innocence Project” gave Steven Avery back to Wisconsin, who...the MINUTE he was out of prison, raped one woman (she didn’t press charges because he said he’s come back and kill her if she did) and raped and murdered another woman (Theresa Halbach) with the coercion of his 16 year old nephew...who is now also going to prison for a very long time. Nice family. *SMIRK*

Steven Avery AGAIN got Life with no parole for Theresa’s murder and mutilation (they burned her in the family garbage pit after gutting her like a deer) which is the best we can do in this state with our monsters; just as we did with Jeffrey Dahmer, Chai Vang, etc.)

Yep. We were REALLY glad to have that animal back on the streets of Wisconsin again. *SPIT*

Sorry. No love lost between me and “The Innocence Project” though I know you were making a VALID point that maybe, just MAYBE SOME prisoners actually ARE innocent. The Innocence Project will NOT be trusted again in this state for a very, very, very long time.

You DO realize that these cases are worked on by college kids studying to be lawyers, right? They have nothing to lose. Do you want a clueless bleeding heart 20 year old fighting to release prisoners back into your state? I highly doubt it. In fact, the way things are these days, you can’t find a “First Time Offender” committing a capital crime; they’re all old hands at it already, usually with some prison time under their belt...and released early by our various states, anyway!

If anything, this Duke case will go down in history as a total miscarriage of justice if Nifong isn’t hung from the highest tree in the Town Square. And no one was even tortured to death this time around...though lives were definitely ruined.

This has happened in virtually every LAX thread for the last 15 months.

I’m just glad the boys are getting closer to resuming a normal life again, even though it will probably never be the same. Very proud of Reade today.

As should a number of federal prosecutors whose actions are equally egregious...
