Have you read anything that I’ve said about illegal immigration? It’s not much, because I’m no expert, but I’m all for closing up the borders, etc.

Standing up for President Bush is hardly equal to standing w/ our invaders, who WE have been allowing into the country since the late 1980s, LONG before President Bush was responsible for them.

And why are you wasting thread space with your propaganda? I’ve read the Constitution.

I live in a rich target environment for Islamists.

I get the argument.

I consider people who verbally assault our President without just cause to be TREASONOUS.

WE ARE AT WAR.

Get that through your thick head lest I start to make the case for you being a Stalinist, along w/ half of the nutters on this site.

What could be a more just cause, when, in that war, he has chosen to keep the southern border open to all comers?

Yesterday and today, enough manpower crossed from Mexico to provide the manpower for an entire army division. Been that way since the President took office. Dereliction of duty writ large.

Sorry Tony, but when I swore the oath to defend the Constitution, I specifically DON'T recall taking a "Führer Oath." (Is that a special ceremony these days in the Whitehouse basement?)

(You gave yourself away, Tony, with "nutter." I remember that being one of your unique pet words, along with "snarky" etc.)

But as far as treasonous goes, since you mentioned it.....

U.S. Constitution, Article 4 Section 4:

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government,

and shall protect each of them against Invasion;"

Invasion: \In*va"sion\, n. [L. invasio: cf. F. invasion. See Invade.] [1913 Webster]

1. The act of invading; the act of encroaching upon the rights or possessions of another; encroachment; trespass.

Oh, I know! You remind me of Nancee Lynn Cheney - was that her handle? of course it wasn't actually the veep's daughter. But you have her exact speech patterns.

Very much a Hill-Knowlton type gal.

“I consider people who verbally assault our President without just cause to be TREASONOUS.

If Hillary is elected, and we are still in Iraq, will you accuse people critical of her of treason? No, I didn’t think so. That argument has grown increasingly transparent and weak in recent days. Feel free to persuade me that you would defend Hillary and accuse her attackers of treason - but don’t expect me to believe you. At all.

P.S... A great many of us think the President’s refusal to defend America’s sovereignty and obey his oath of office is what’s treasonous here. However, unlike some, my opinion of the president’s duties doesn’t change just depending on what letter comes after their name.
