Did Coulter feel sorry for Harriet Miers after or before she called her a cleaning woman? Or after she and her friends trashed her education and work experience and questioned her loyalty to pro life issues? And does she feel sorry for her every time she uses the Miers name to stab at President Bush? Why is the Miers name being used as a pejorative such as McCarthy’s name is? Why not use Dubi as the point of reference for beating down an administration backed project? It wouldn’t be because the opposition by the same cabal that trashed Miers tried their tactics a second time and could not get everybody on board, mainly Rush. The unions actually won that battle. The proper word to use for what was done to Miers is BORKED, only this time it was done by self elected persons in DC who consider their criteria to be the standard for deciding all things conservative. Because they had their own list of SCJ candidates and wanted to bend the White House to their will, they trashed Harriet Miers who could not respond, until she withdrew from the process. Why were these uber conservatives not willing to let her have a hearing where she would have been selected or not? Anybody who has the notion that these Conservatives do not have a vested interest in promoting their own agendas will find out in time the reality of political play even among the self anointed.

She didn’t deserve a hearing. Her lack of credentials was enough to disqualify her.
