You did not read the articles detailing the qualifications required of Harriet Miers that were not part of the consideration for judges now on the SC and others before them. In addition to their judicial backgrounds, some more and some less, Justices are often friends and/or political associates of the President in office. To pretend that Pres Bush was the first to nominate a friend for SCJ is ridiculous. Coulter and her political allies ganged up on Harriet Miers not because she was unqualified for the job, but because they had their own list of candidates who met their criteria. Your post proves that you consider yourself judge and jury in all things Bush because he is not going in the direction you want him to. I discount anything you have to say about Pres Bush because your bias overrides any facts that get in the way. Meow is not my intention in using skinny Coulter as an example of getting by with SLANDER, her trademark, of those she disagrees with. How about the ugliness she spawned toward Miers that resulted in posts on this forum that Harriet was suspect because she was unmarried, as is Ann, and therefore likely a lesbian? See what this acid generates? Enjoy your weekly soak in the Coulter puke. I will continue to take exception to the barbed darts she throws at President Bush, and his wife, and the use of the name of Harriet Miers in a derogatory fashion.

O.K. I won’t say anything about Mr. Bush. I won’t even bring up the fact that although other Presidents had nominated friends of theirs as Justices, they may at least have had experience on the bench.
But I am thankful that we have two judges who apparently are more philosophically consistent with the principles expressed by the majority of the members of this forum than an unknown quantity whose main qualification for office was, despite her other accomplishments, close friendship with the Bush family.
I don’t think I ever saw anything written or expressed by anyone here about her marital status and sexual preferences.
