Dear Commissioner Ritter,
I was amazed this morning to read that someone in America would suggest that the government only do business with radio station’s that agree with them politically. (http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/local/broward/sfl-churricane13jun13,0,4183214.story?coll=sfla-home-headlines)
This is the sort of mindset that existed behind the Iron Curtain in the old days, when people had to sneak to listen to Radio Free Europe at the risk of punishment.
In America, we thrive on free speech and open debate. To shun the most appropriate choice for a public emergency service simply because some of their syndicated content expresses a different, perhaps even—yegads-—a minority point of view is chilling and sad.
I urge you to rethink your position. Thanks.
Sincerely,
besides that one danged apostrophe (station’s) i think it’s pretty good.
Very well put!
Excellent!
