Sometime in early or mid 2001 I remember a Saturday Night Life skit showing President Bush at a White House party stoned out of his gourd on the drug ecstasy. At the time, though I knew it was just mindless liberals trying to salve the great wound of losing the algore, I had to admit, the piece was amusing. Never in my wildest dreams, though, did I imagine, way back then, that the day would finally come when I would actually come to believe it:
This President is on drugs.
Major. Heavy. Mind debilitating drugs. There is no other explanation for the downward spiral of his thinking and his leadership in the last year or so.
This President is on drugs.”
I hate to say it but I agree. I was listening to him speak on immigration earlier today—unbelievable.
Unless it's a Machiavellian plot to give Republican candidates a better chance to run against him. ;)
“This President is on drugs.”
And so are the congressmen who support him on this immigration bill.
You hear this from someone who kept supporting him while waiting for a truly conservative domestic policy to emerge.
Either that or in the pockets of the drug cartels!!!

I don’t think he’s fundamentally changed, the explanation is most people weren’t paying attention to illegal immigration during those years.
The open borders were as much a problem in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 as they are in 2007. Am I wrong?
It’s sort of like living a lifestyle that you can’t afford on credit, it’s not going to look like there’s anything wrong until the day the bill comes.
In this case it’s a very large bill for the benefit of 20 million who did nothing to deserve it other than walking into the country.
How ironic. Last weekend I saw a bumper sticker on a car saying the exact same thing.
