‘No religious test’ was put in the Constitution for good reason. May as well not even be in there, as much as it is by-passed and ignored. What’s the difference between forcing a president-elect to confirm his faith under oath or forcing him to answer these jaw-draggers during the campaign?

The difference is whether the “state” does it or not. Voters are allowed to have whatever criteria they want for choosing whom to vote for.
