Here’s a new twist in the “border enforcement” con game:
“”Georgia Republicans Sens. Johnny Isakson and Saxby Chambliss sent a letter to Bush on Tuesday urging him to send an emergency supplemental spending bill to Congress to fund border security. The letter called on Bush to restore “the confidence of the American people in the federal government’s commitment to border security.””
These are two traitors, worse than McCain because McCain doesn’t flip flop here. I’ll give them a break, maybe, when Bush “announced” the grand compromise bill... when there was no bill...these two suckers might have been caught up in Rovian stampeding gamesmanship, “trusting” Kyl, whomever.
So does asking for additional funding absolve Bush, or focus blame on him...
You are massively jumping to conclusions about Chambliss and his letter.
They are doing the right thing, telling Bush to:
“The letter called on Bush to restore the confidence of the American people in the federal governments commitment to border security.”
This what WE have been telling the President, too: BUILD THE FENCE, SECURE THE BORDER, and btw you dont need a massive bill to finish the job. They just did it in a more diplomatic way.
