Does anyone know Dick Cheneys personal stance on illegal immigration and his stance on the amnesty bill?

Does anyone know Dick Cheneys personal stance on illegal immigration and his stance on the amnesty bill? Bush usually uses Cheney as his pit-bull when he wants something done. The fact that Cheney has been virtually silent on this issue very probably means he is at odds with the President on it.
But that's just speculation on my part.
