Liz Cheney Joins Thompson Team, THE WEEKLY STANDARD is set to report... Developing..
Bush usually uses Cheney as his pit-bull when he wants something done. The fact that Cheney has been virtually silent on this issue very probably means he is at odds with the President on it.
But that's just speculation on my part.
Mary Matalin; unpaid advisor, Lawrence B. Lindsey; Bush 43 economic advisor, Thomas J. Collamore; a former aide to the vice president H.W. Bush, and Michael Turk, who helped Bush 43 in his reelection campaign.....
I was getting excited about Thompson but with all these Bush people I'm
ROTFL! That really makes me laugh because I know many smart people who nevertheless buy into that conspiracy theory. LOL!
Actually, I heard I heard it was all a dodge and she just joined CFR because she wants Angelina Jolie’s autograph.
So in reality, none of us know. We do need to know. Before I trust my vote to anyone again, I want to know who is on their team and the politcal sentiments they possess.
I don’t like being fooled.
Maybe she wants to join the winner, and Fred’s poll numbers are impressive.
You owe me a new keyboard! :O)
When it comes to patronage jobs, saying Rudy is shady, is the most diplomatic way to put it.
Did she recently have a baby boy?

THis worries me, after the past copuple of years I would like to support someone who has no involvement with the Bush’s once so ever.
Her husband is a formner general counsel for the Dept. of Homeland Security.
Ms. Cheney also worked for Dick Armitage’s beltway bandit consulting firm in the 1990s. She’s also worked at the State Department.
Pretty smart, too. Graduated from University of Chicago Law School.
I agree with you. I know twin brothers who hold different political views. I would like to know her stance on immigration.
I support Fred, but I agree with you. Fred wants to convince people he's going to do things differently but he keeps putting people on his team who do things the same old way. He should distance himself as much as possible from Bush, and his team, so as not to give the Dems that easy campaign issue. There has to be some "new blood" capable of running a new type of campaign. Bush's approval numbers will soon be in the teens, and deservedly so. Fred, please, stay away.
That may be true, but what I was getting at is that I think he’s more Democrat than Republican. If you were a Republican and wanted some patronage, Fred or Romney is the way to go. If you were a Democrat and for some reason you thought the Republicans were going to win the White House, you’d cozy up to McCain or Rudy.
Not a good thing, I just want to know who, and why certain people are jumping on someones team.
I’ll admit, it is troubling. I would feel better if the people from any aspect of the Bush team stayed away.
Liz Cheney is a smart woman. She knows poll numbers can change in a heartbeat.
I think she just likes Thompson's positions on issues.
I knew he had a daughter named Mary, and other kids. But no recollection of the name Liz
Ugh. And I still worry about the Thompson/McCain relationship of the past. I don’t know. I am going to give the most weight to his voting record, second to his older columns, third to the kind of support he attracts, and last to his current statements (always suspect when a person wants power in return). We will see. I am still listening and watching. So far he still far and away beats Rudy McRomney. Since he is showing great promise, he is bound to attract some of those people who make their living by attaching themselves to power (Matalin and others).
