Trees produce CO2, the most “noxious” greenhouse gas! So at least the greenhouse gasheads are being consistent!

“Earth First — log the other planets later.”

Here in Maryland they are pushing for a return of paper bags since trees are a “renewable” resource and those blue plastic bags are making Baltimore’s trees look like old blue haired ladies.

Especially since there are more trees on the planet now than any time in recorded history.

How can they even talk of it any more? More of the U.S. is forested than it was in 1900.

I wish they would go back to trees. Not that I agree with not cutting any down, but I do agree with planting them. I love trees. As a kid I remember the cartoon owl, "Give a hoot, don't pollute, never be a dirty bird" and the crying Indian in the canoe. I miss the old enviro campaigns of trees and litter. Now it's just CO2 gasbag Al Gore.

I was just noticing that too. No talk about the vanishing Amazon Rain Forest either. Hysteria du jour.

And maybe because there are more trees in the United States that there were at any time before Columbus. And modern fire control practices have reduced grasslands while land every day is being reforested because our advanced methods of farming require less acreage.

The Woodland Indians as well as the later Indians were pyromaniacs when it came to largescale woodland burnings.

All green issues are red herrings. Greenies motive is to wreck the American economy and that is the sole purpose of their movement.

It's quite simple.
Print media's raw material paper devours millions of trees per year world wide.
Why harm a liberal print media strongmen for this global warming thing?

The trees are “saved.” The old loggers are in their 50s and 60s and their knees have given out. The ban on logging since the late 1980s interrupted the passage of logging knowledge to the next generation and they are now a rare breed.

The enviros now have so many regulations in place that no one can afford to log except the big boys.

It’s all about power, the power to run your life. Whatever it takes to achieve that goal, fine with them. It never was about trees, spotted owls or DDT, it was always about power.

Environazis don’t care about anything, ‘cept the sound of their own shrill voices.

“Why don’t we hear about the clear cutting of the forests and other green favorites.”

Suggest that the federal socialist forests be turned back to the states for sale to private buyers, and green Freeper eco-nuts will pour out of the woodwork.

Why don't we hear about the clear cutting of the forests and other green favorites?

Environazis like Loggers now because...

__________________________________

As plants and trees grow, photosynthesis--involving the interaction of sunlight, chlorophyll in green leaves, carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O)--results in a net removal of CO2 from the air and the release of oxygen (O2) as a by-product. Also, moisture is released to the air through evapotranspiration.

___________________________________________

When forests die and decay, or are burned,
the biomass is oxidized and CO2 is returned to the air.

________________________________

So loggers get to the trees before the trees is oxidized.

Save the planet, remember no forests, no fires, no CO2.

Also other once important issues such as DDT and smog are on the back burner. Don’t hear much about the ozone hole either. They are clearly flocking to the path with the greatest financial gradient.
