You're wrong. And the last thing we need is a CinC "listening" to a bunch of people who don't have a clue what they are talking about.....Who are seeing events through a straw-size hole....compared to those with vastly more information....(you sound like a DEM Congressmen/women trying to run the war....with sans 80% of the key information)

I don't agree with GWB fully on immigration...but the reality is in a true Limited Republic...a Party must allow for differecne of opinion on issues to fully thrive (over time)....But the reality is GWB takes on big issues. He doesn't push them off....he tries to address them. Reality is we have a 30 year in the making problem on immigration. We have a terribly flawed guest worker program (where a large % of those currently here illgeally now started from).

I wish he would have just addressed the border first...Then moved on down the road. But he went for addressing the whole problem....That doesn't make him a bad guy.

Again, Reagan gave amnesty, ran from Beirut, appointed the PC choice of the terrible SDO to the SCOUTS, flipped flopped and abandoned the idea of private Soc Sec....then raised FICA taxes to boot.....(they were all bad decisions) but he was still one hell of a CinC/POUTS. Just as is GWB.

“ut the reality is GWB takes on big issues. He doesn’t push them off....he tries to address them.”

He has failed to take on border security. He could build the wall. He won’t do it seriously. He could take out amnesty and support ‘enforcement first’, but he wont. Why? Because he’s not in the right place on this issue.

Bush will never fix the problem because he doesnt even understand it.

” Reality is we have a 30 year in the making problem on immigration.”

... based on Kennedy written bills and failure to enforce the law. More of the same - more Kennedy amnesty bills and lack of enfrocement - will make the problem worse.

“We have a terribly flawed guest worker program (where a large % of those currently here illgeally now started from).”

Most illegals these days just cross the border or overstay visas.

You obviously don’t live in Southern California. We are overrun with illegals. We have been promised enforcement before and nothing happened. We have been promised they would build a fence...2 miles have been built. Our roads are clogged and they are getting more clout each and every day. La Raza is a real force to change this nation. You need to wake up!

Condsider this:

Reagan strengthened the GOP while he was in office.

Bush has damaged it badly if not destroyed it.

Reagan made plenty of mistakes. Only a fool repeats those mistakes. Instead you learn from them.

Yes, we MUST disagree and FIGHT Bush on this issue.

HE IS WRONG.

Dead wrong. Doesn’t matter what else he’s done - and parts of what he’s done are very good. Others, like Kennedy’s No Child Left Behind bill, Kennedy’s welfare/Medicare Bill for democratic (senior) voters, and Kennedy’s Amnesty Bill, and Kennedy’s McCain-Fiengold Bill are WRONG.

He - BUSH - pushed every one of those through OVER conservative (all republican) opposition and WITH the full support of his democrat enemies and their RINO allies - and he should be corrected/edited/condemned for pushing those problems and long-term financial canyons on America.

Without Bush’s PUSHING and PROMOTIONS, we would be in better shape as a country because NONE of those would have passed.

Now, I can’t tell you WHY Bush is pushing these pieces of legislation. I can only assure that he is dead wrong about them. And equally dead set on getting HIS wrong-headed, wrong-sensed priorities through.

And - for these actions domestically - I fully condemn him.

Are u out of your mind?

What part of giving our national sovernity away, don’t you understand?

This bill is not just another bill, where differences of opinion won’t affect National Sovernity.

This bill is EXACTLY THAT.

BUILD THE FENCE FIRST, THEN WE CAN TALK ABOUT WHAT TO DO WITH THOSE ALREADY HERE.

Thanks for the post, although I am not a big fan of the immigration bill, You at least put it in prospective. Reagan was a great president and so is Bush. When I cast my two votes for Bush, it was on a lot of other important issues too. The only thing I worry about is this, if the Democrats keep the house and the senate and win the presidency what kind of immigration bill will we have then? That scares me, maybe it scares Bush too.
