SOFIA, Bulgaria - President Bush, turning from adulation in the Balkans to difficulties back home, said Monday that his stalled immigration overhaul would be revived and his embattled attorney general would not fall under a Senate vote of no-confidence. ADVERTISEMENT

"I'll see you at the bill signing," Bush said confidently about an immigration bill that has run into deep trouble on Capitol Hill.

that right there will solve most of the problem or at least keep it from getting any worse. Some very harsh employer enforcement would also force many illegal aliens to have to go back home where they should be. I think this maybe the straw that breaks the camels back and gets a lot stronger president and congress elected in 2008 to finally fix an easily fixable problem!

I may be wrong, but I don't see it that way. It seems to me that the Republican Party, the quiet majority, rose up as one and made our voices heard very loudly. We unearthed the Rinos in our party and infuenced others. I think we are stronger than we were before all this. We are paying closer attention.

I think you're right. Not only has the Republican base found their voice but I believe they will eventually coalesce around Thompson as a candidate and be united going into the election. I can't remember the last time I had more "moderate" friends, even Democrats, unite for a political goal, killing this traitorous legislation. We have an opportunity to use this issue to bring the moderate Independents and "Reagan Democrats" along with us in support of a conservative Republican Presidential candidate.

When was he a good president? He has spent more money than a Democrat and brought us all kinds of new intervenionist programs. As for the war on terror, I haven’t seen terror show up to sign the surrender papers yet.

Yes it gripes me too that President Bush is bending over backwards to make Mexico happy every chance he gets and they have NOT supported us in the War on Terror.

My biggest mistake in my voting history was to vote for this dumbass.

Chill, Laz. Four words: President Gore. President Kerry.

We voted our consciences and got shafted. Won't happen again.

Aside from not being the brightest bulb in the room and recently his elevator is not going all the way to the top, Bush has no cojones. He had to deliver this comment all the way across the Atlantic Ocean and across Europe in Bulgaria. I’m sure the Bulgarians understand and care/(sac).

No, Laz, it wasn’t.

He’s done OK until the last bit of his Presidency, and now I have no idea what has invaded his body.

The alternative was far, far worse.

Fact is, even Ray Charles can see that we can’t talk our way out of an all-or-nothing cultural and military war with Islam. Not even the libs believe it.

Your vote wasn’t a mistake. This isn’t your fault, its his.

Thats why he has some serious challenges in the district this time around...

Ron Paul has taken everything that both parties can throw at him in previous elections.

Bring it on. We thought we'd taught both parties a lesson back in '06 when neither would run a candidate against him but apparently they haven't learned yet.

“I’m really beginning to dislike Mr. Bush”

I took allot of verbal abuse for this man, standing in front of the Seattle Seahawks games with Bush Cheney signs, doing my part to get him elected both times.
He was wonderful the first couple of years, and I still think he was the best man to have in office following 9/11, but something happened and Lord knows what it is.

“The ‘vote any R’ hasn’t been much of a rip-roaring success.”

It gave us Alito and Roberts, Tax Cuts and a roaring economy, the taliban and sadaam dead or on the run and no kerry to sell out America even quicker than this Amnesty crap will.

“GOP had the House for nearly a decade-and-a-half, the Senate for a half-decade and the WH for the last 6 years. Their performance has been full of pork bills, open check books, new bureaucracies (Homeland Security, for example), assault on the First Amendment with Campaign Finance Reform, medicare prescription drug monstrosity - but no Social Security reform and no permanent tax cuts, etc.”

You like the dim parties legislation better? Do you enjoy peloser and reid and their satanic agenda? Vote in people during the primaries that will vote for Conservative philosophy. To elect dims is to destroy America without a fight.

“It is evident that many in the GOP learned nothing from the message sent them in 06. As painful as it might be, they are probably going to get a remedial lesson in 08. And that is their fault. But that is the only method the voters have. Buck up. The GOP are making it easy for the Dems to solidify their majority status. But I get the impression the GOP had such a long history (40 years of wondering) as the minority party that they really rather like that position and are actually looking forward to another 40 years as the minority party.”

Get rid of the POS members that have been there 40 years!

No way I will EVER vote in a way that helps my enemy... the dims!

Impeach him, hell. If he manages to hand the country over to a perpetual socialist underclass and its Marxist overlords, they’ll nominate him for sainthood.

All we need is to nominate Fred and everything that you say will NOT come to pass. Hunter and Tancredo would be excellent... but America does not seem to repond to them in numbers.
