Driving with a suspended license is certainly not comparable to murder. And honestly, I don’t support filling our jails with nonviolent offenders.

She was on probation for a DWI. It may have been reduced to another offense but she was still on probation for three years. If she violates her probation (which she did two times) she could have received the entire sentence. I think she got off pretty easy.

Our jails are bursting at the seams. This is because we are filling them with people who drove without a license or puffed some mary jane. House arrest seems a good alternative, and it costs the taxpayers much less. If they violate house arrest, double the sentence and fine them. A net profit for taxpayers in that case.
