Yeah well that's kind of like the big deal made when Glock first come out with the G17. H&K had been manufacturing "plastic guns" for almost a decade.
Both the VP-70 and the P9S had plastic frames, and the VP held 18 in the stack. P9S in .45 is still one of my favorite pistols, I just always admired the shape and overall build quality. Problem is they have become quite expensive on the used gun market.

I don’t have much use for DAO handguns. A P220 on a polymer frame would be interesting.
