Yeah well that's kind of like the big deal made when Glock first come out with the G17. H&K had been manufacturing "plastic guns" for almost a decade.

Both the VP-70 and the P9S had plastic frames, and the VP held 18 in the stack. P9S in .45 is still one of my favorite pistols, I just always admired the shape and overall build quality. Problem is they have become quite expensive on the used gun market.

The P229 Elite has the STR trigger design which is the sweetest, shortest, smoothest DA I’ve ever pulled.

I don’t have much use for DAO handguns. A P220 on a polymer frame would be interesting.

That was my point. A .45 ACP does not require perfect shot placement to be entirely effective.
