And if this is Africa, now she’s going to jail.

Is there more to this story? Usually, killing an elephant will get you incarcerated for poaching- or shot.

Am I mistaken?

Read G. Orwell, ‘Killing an Elephant’ I think that was the name of the short story. It breaks your heart.

By the way, I strongly object to that person being classified as a girl until we can get independant confirmation. Please retitle “Thing kills Elephant” until such time.

Looks like she’s standing well back from a small elephant. Photo trick like the kid with the giant pig?

I’ve seen worse tusks. I thought the legal limit on bow poundage for elephant was 100lb with two blade heads, maybe it has been changed.

Gloating over a ‘kill’ is about the same mind-set as an Islamist parading with a severed head.

Any woman who can handle a 85-lb. bow well enough to bring down an elephant could probably flip me like a buttermilk pancake.

I’m not sure if that’s sexy, scary or both.

How did she kill an elephant with a bow. ,beat it to death? Most would use an arrow in that bow.

If she wants a challenge, she should try bow hunting wild turkeys.

See the arms on that chick? She could have wrestled the beast to the ground.

They typical kneejerk responses always amuse me. "Endangered"..."Social Animal"..."Sport Hunting"...

What a hoot.

In African nations where legal elephant hunting still exists, the elephant is thriving. In countries that have banned the hunting of elephants, such as Kenya, they are indeed in danger.

Hmmmm...

And I am skilled at both wildlife photography and hunting. Been doing both for the better part of three decades.

There is no comparison between the two. Hunting is in a world of its own as far as the relationship between man and wildlife.

As a hunter I am sorely disappointed in the general ignorance of hunting’s role in conservation. (As many have already mentioned here) As a conservative I am even more disappointed in the number of so called “conservatives” that would so easily force their will on hunters.

Next time Hillary, Kennedy, or pick a Dem tries to confiscate your money, guns, or freedoms then you who would deny this woman her freedom should just bend over and say “thank you sir may I have another.”

I would have thought I wondered onto the “puke up democrat thoughts” forum if I did not know better.
