Yes, now those illegals have learned their lesson. If they don’t return to Mexico immediately FR will reject more border enforcement bills.

Yes, the borders have never been more secure than they are tonight.

Our reasoning is lucid and crystal clear.

Congrats fellow freepers!

Congratulations on creating such a fragile straw man and then tearing it down with intellect and vigor.

You are to be commended.

I will NEVER support any Republican who supported this traitorous amnesty bill and will do what I can to work against them. This includes the President - a man who I voted for twice, bent over backwards to defend, and always gave the benefit of the doubt. I think I speak for more than just myself when I say that “betrayal” is an accurate word to describe what President Bush has done to his loyal voters, his party, and his country;

If you think border enforcement would have happened with that bill, you are delusional. Try looking at some of the threads which dissected the contents of this bill, and you will see that there was no hope of enforcement. How could there be when the fence was reduced to just a couple of hundred feet? And don’t forget there are Border Patrol agents in prison at the present time. So much for enforcement!

Whose side are you on, anyway?

We did well but don’t celebrant yet guys. They will try ANYTHING to get this bill or another version of it to pass. They will try to sneak one through during July when half of America is on vacation and not paying attention. They want it bad and they will promise BIG PORK to those who voted against it today . Don’t let your guard down folks. We need to push for the enforcement of the PRESENT immigration laws.Don’t doubt anything at this point .

".....FR will reject more border enforcement bills."

We have border enforcement bills already passed that aren't being implemented - like 10,000 BP agents of which less than 1/2 of 1% have been staffed, like 700 miles of reinforced fencing of which only 1/3 of 1% has been constructed.

If you can't see a pattern, you're blind. Illegals would have gotten their amnesty. Citizens would have gotten screwn - again.

When the government shows at least a half-assed attempt to enforce the laws we have and they're proven not to work, American Patriots may consider entertaining revisions to immigration code. But as long as the government allows repeated undermining of our laws without exacting penalty, without a serious attempt to put and keep those laws in effect, this is indicative of the revolt US Legislators will have to endure.
