I want to caution everyone. We won round one, but this isn't dead at all. We may relax for the moment, but don't dare go to sleep.
While we await their next trick, we need to self-organize into contact lists via email, to rapidly pass information to one another in fora other than FR. Everyone should make their own contact lists to fully inform their friends of the dangers of this bill -- and similar follow-ons.
Let me give you an example. I called a friend in the highest levels of the EB -- you be the judge of where that might be -- and he did not know that any of the most objectionable provisions were even in the bill. If someone there doesn't know, imagine how many of your associates and family are also unaware.
This information is readily available, on this site and numerous others. Cut it, paste it, and forward it along. The more people know about S 1348, the more they despise it. Teach them.
Now, imagine how many more calls, letters, faxes, and emails would come from a better informed electorate.

And there's no mention of the extensive medical, psychological, criminal, and financial checks that legal immigrants must obtain at their own expense, but that illegal aliens do not have to have at all (legal immigrants must also get and pay for a variety of immunization shots).
