This is the homestretch.
Call and e-mail your senators today, Republicans and Democrats, urging them not to table debate on this critical piece of legislation.
It deserves a fair and open debate of all ramifications. To do otherwise is unamerican.
Ask them to vote "NO" on cloture.
Keep bumping this to the top.
Today is the day.
Finally got Sen Sessions office to thank him...
Its been busy...
I gave up on Kyl, his is swamped. The nasty email will have to do until I can get through... before 5 pm hopefully.
Calling Sessions now. Thanks for reminding me.
Excellent!
ROFL!
I got through by calling Shelby and having the call transferred to Sessions. I said that I would like to thank Senator sessions for his support of the amnesty bill and that I would be donating to... That’s as far as I got before the woman that answered interrupted me and said, “Uh-huh. Thank you, ma’am. Goodbye.”
I guess she’s tired of answering the phone.
bump
If this is suppose to be about security just appropiate the money to build the wall and build it...
And deport any and all that dont have permission to be here...
revise that to support of stopping this amnesty bill.
I’m more tired from staying home today to harass Sentors than if I’d gone to work.
Shelby used to be a Democrat and changed to Republican years ago..Hes a Conservative..Hes against the Amnesty Bill...
Today is the day that the Bush/Reid/McCain/Rove/Kennedy axis begins to go down!
#^%(*& BUSH!
GO CONSERVATIVES! UNITE AND WIN!
Im going out of town early in the morning ...I’ll miss this tomorrow...
Hope they scrub it tonight..LOL
The lady that answered his phone was sweet and helpful. Quite a difference in responses. She must not be getting swamped with calls today. LOL
Disappointing story, and totally believable. It shows that even our best legislators sometimes have staff who don’t care about the base’s feelings. Typical Republican stupidity. This rude woman should have been instructed very early in her employment, if not on the first day, that she should not hang up on supportive callers, even if there are too many calls. It’s not hard to end a conversation politely, and it’s a shame that she didn’t.
Sessions is going to a lose a few donors because of this, because it’s undoubtedly happening to other favorable callers too. He’ll have no problem being re-elected in Alabama if he runs again. But someone who is treated rudely by his staff might choose to be less involved in the party, not help another candidate, etc. What goes around comes around.
When the Rats vote for something like this, it usually means that it’s a dead letter in terms of policy. Just hot air, basically.
you and I both. I’m getting sorely tired of being stressed about this bill. So many of my friends and cohorts that I’ve asked to get on the phone, fax, and email have said, “It won’t do any good... the #Q$#$@s are going to pass it.” They certainly will if we do nothing.
Thanks. :-) It’s important to see through the agonizing truth and be able to laugh about it. :-)
Does this mean this bill is dead in the Senate? Can somebody please provide an update?
CALL NOW!
Michelle Malkin reminds us that the amnesty hotline set up by open-borders activists is still working.
Just ignore the propaganda and you should be connected quickly to your senators:
