America
(or America, We Love Your Heroes)
Sung by Kelly God
From the DVD Andre Rieu Live in Dublin
Ocean bird, I wish to tell you
A story from a long time ago.
Oh ocean bird, I wish to tell you
That sad old song you have to know.
America, so many heroes
They left their homes and crossed the waves.
America, you sent your young boys
Oh ocean bird, how must I tell you
That sad old song? They came to save us!
America, so many heroes
They lost their lives and filled the graves.
America, we love your heroes
America, we are your friends
America, well always love you
And keep you in our hearts and hands
America, so many heroes
They left their homes and crossed the waves. America, you die of grief now
Oh ocean bird, how must I tell you
That sad new song? They are in pain now!
America, we share your sorrow,
America, let hope remain...

Here is a moving Trubute to America's Heroes. The music is haunting, the lyrics stirring and the video (includes the D-Day Landing and 9/11) will cause a tear to form.
Andre and Marjorie wrote this right after 9/11. As you can see they have deep feeling of kinship and gratitude towards Our American Heroes. To ALL or Military, Thank You for your dedication, devotion and for just being there when the country, nay the world needed you.

I spent most of today on the road. XM Radio has had channel 40 dedicated to 6/6/1943 programming. Glen Miller and all the 40’s music played, with interuptions for war reporting. Pretty sobering in retrospect.

I had to work, so I was quite jealous. Yes, what the U.S. along with the “Coalition Forces” did was quite amazing. To paraphrase Churchill, we the many owe so much to the few.

Thanks for the ping. Very moving, indeed. With all that’s going around these days, it’s good no know there are some who still appreciate us — who haven’t forgotten.

I love the Irish flavor in the music. That’s only a quarter of my heritage, but my late wife used to tell me that it was my saving grace.

Robert Capa was there to photograph the invasion. It takes fortitude to shoot a camera when the logical thing is to be shooting with a rifle.

I do not know what the hell I would coming up Omaha or Utah. The admiration I feel towards Our Military just grows and grows with each passing year. That is why I posted this video. I want as many Vets, Soldiers, Marines, Sailors; Airmen to know how much they are truly appreciated - all over the world. Too bad Today's Journalists are not equal to yesterday's except for Micheal You, he is the exception.

I moved my XM next to my computer so I could record it. The parts I've listened to so far have been stunning. The modern day MSM would mess panties reporting live from a ship in the English Channel that day.
They should compile those reports and sell them on CD or DVD.
By the way, it is XM channel number 4. The 40s is the name of that channel.
