It is a shame. The more I study WWII and that generation, the more amazed I am that the US still exists. What we have become is a pathetic after thought of what they fought for. So many in this country can’t even endure a few years of war fought by volunteers and demand our withdrawal, though the current enemy poses no less a threat to our liberty and way of life than their preceding NAZIs.

How the WWII generation, the epitome of self-sacrifice gave rise to the most Self-ist generation is beyond me. But this country and the world will pay the price of self-centered Baby Boomers for generations to come.
