This reminds me of an old Popeye cartoon, where Olive Oyl is singing about becoming President. Has anyone ever seen it?
I grew up on Popeye cartoons. This was a 1948 classic where, after Olive Oyl brains Popeye with a skillet for laughing at the notion of a female President, he fancies hearing her sing a campaign song called “If I were President”.
Her platform included among other things, huge tax breaks for large families, a `bachelor’ tax that would make it cheaper for men to be married, and in general, initiatives which mandated that men and women should not live alone, but in a matrimonial state. Very baby boom, IOW.
