There’s nothing wrong with what I wrote. The problem is with your inexplicable overly defensive hysterical attitude towards anyone who offers constructive feedback.

I would be much more concerned if:
-Fred had met her when he was 45 and she was 20. As it is, she was a mature adult when they met and married, and he was an older mature adult.
-Fred had dumped his first wife for Jeri. As it is, Fred had been single for many years when he met and married Jeri.
-Jeri was an empty-headed bimbo. As it is, she is an accomplished lawyer and consultant who shares many interests with Fred...and also happens to be pretty and younger than he is.
I don’t discount your concern — I just don’t see it that way and neither does my 60-something mother.
