When you look a certain way you are always fighting against other people’s projections. I am an Italian redhead. My look does not accurately portray who I am, so as I’ve aged I’ve learned the hard way that I have to be extra careful. Jeri has a similar battle in her own way. My dear, old mother along with the rest of her crew, once she sees Fred & wife, will guffaw, snicker and say, "Well, he's no different than the rest of these old buzzards around here" and that will be that for Fred among the older retirees. They are truly disgusted by older men dating, much less marrying much younger women.
