Huh. I didn’t know that.

Odd that my dad, a conservative Republican, held office in northeastern NY for over 30 years.

I have heard that upstate New York is like a different culture when compared to the rest of the northeast. My BIL and his family lived there for a while and they really liked it. But they couldn't cope with the snow.

P.S. My whole family is in Connecticut and NH - I left in 1970 and never have regretted it.
