Why don’t they just play the theme from “Deliverance” instead?

I thought that was "Rocky Top". ;)

What does Nascar have to do with politics.

Nothing. I'm still not offended if they ask. If they want to make generalizations based on this demographic or that one, so be it. If some freak cheesecake fad were to sweep the nation and they frequently noticed thousands of people gathering around a cheesecake vendor, "Cheescake Dads" might become a factor they wish to measure.

Last week, folks were saying that today would be the first day that one could donate to the exploratory committee. Any word on this?

I am waiting for word from someone who might be able to find out. I don’t know if post-dated checks will count, but there is still time for a Paypal donation or credit card (If they are set up for them yet) donation today.

I WILL do a special ping when I find out.

Once there was a girl on rocky top, Half bear the other half cat. Wild as a mink, sweet as soda pop, I still dream about that.

I've been listening to Phish cover this song for years and could never figure out that verse. Whenever I'm singing along in my car like a moron I have to pause between "Once there was a girl on rocky top" and "sweet as soda pop".

Red Badger -

Thank you for posting that. I can't stop smiling here at my desk. I can't stop thinking about hearing that song being sung by 100,000 + people on a Saturday in Knoxville.

The only time I ever had the honor of meeting Fred was outside the stadium in Knoxville.

Run Fred, RUN!

There are just as many of us "Ted Nugent" conservatives as any others, the difference being we don't act all offended when we're smart enough to understand that a positive piece may not be written from our point of view, nor directed at our venue.

Cafepress openly supports every liberal cause on the planet.

I'm not too familiar with CafePress, but from my understanding, they allow anyone to sell their stuff through them. It would be foolish business to not let libs sell their stuff.

My point was they give their "excess profits" to every liberal cause on the planet...

Can you give a link or site some examples? I just sent them money, so I guess it’s too late now. But I’d like to see what you have so I can make a better decision next time I’m shopping around.

We need a new man (or woman) for his times.

You're right, and I think the country as a whole shares your sentiment.

The problem for Thompson will be that he looks and acts like an old southern fart. This fact will be painfully clear when he stands alongside someone young and vibrant, like Romney.

Thompson's drawling style works great in the context of his weekly radio broadcasts, but there's no way it can carry a quick moving, "30-seconds-to-respond" debate. Mark my words.

Fred’s strategerie

Let's lose this "strategerie" stuff. Lets hope Fred has a real strategy built on conservative principles, common sense and listening to the American People, not the mumbling, bumbling, fumbling, tone deaf, sellout the American People "strategerie" of the present occupier of the White house.
