Yes, I agree. But if I agree to your asking price, I don't think you can say no.

Even if you match my asking price, I can pull my property off the market (for whatever reason). Still not discriminatory, still my property.

By law, I can say “no” until a contract is signed.

Even if the asking price is agreed to, the owner can change their mind as there is no contract.
