Probably a combination of many factors; people are complex. I assume that some people have a propensity toward homosexuality and it is, therefore, more difficult for them to enter a heterosexual union. But more difficult does not mean impossible. Even a propensity toward something, anything, still involves a choice. It’s just more difficult for some people than others.
