Sounds like Griffin is not drinking the Kool Aid.

Defying the Goracle will bring great wrath however.

Hope he is strong enough.

Wow!
I hope Griffin watches his back. Earlier reports led me to believe that NASA was saying all the politically correct things in order ro get in on the “global warming” gravy train of government funding and grants, etc., like the rest of the parasites.

I'm also aware of recent findings that appear to have nailed down -- pretty well nailed down the conclusion that much of that is manmade

Maybe the Kool-Aid he's drinking is just diluted.

If the moonbat liberals go immediately after the NASA Administrator, or NASA, for these remarks, it will geometrically increase the dispersion and knowledge of the remarks.

I don’t think Gore and his loonies will do this - but surely Michael Griffin will be on their list.

That was indeed a honorable and 100 percent professional response to the question.

This man is a genuine scientist - in a field of many pretenders. Actually, he has just raised the estimate of NASA in the eyes of many, many persons.

I guess NASA saw their entire yearly budget going to buy carbon offsets, just so they could launch the shuttle, did not justify joining the global warming cult. Tithes and offerings to the Goracle were not sustainable.

To assume that it is a problem is to assume that the state of earth's climate today is the optimal climate, the best climate that we could have or ever have had and that we need to take steps to make sure that it doesn't change.

I would love to hear Dr. Hansen's (and Algore's, for that matter) answer to this excellent observation. Not that anybody would ever be allowed to ask them in front of the cameras.

I guess he will be called dumb by the LSM:

Dr. Griffin holds seven degrees, and is pursuing his eighth. In chronological order of attainment, Dr. Griffin’s degrees include:

BS Physics (The Johns Hopkins University, 1971)
MS Aerospace Science (The Catholic University of America, 1974)
PhD Aerospace Engineering (University of Maryland, College Park, 1977)
MEng Electrical Engineering (University of Southern California, 1979)
MS Applied Physics (The Johns Hopkins University, 1983)
MBA Master of Business Administration (Loyola College in Maryland)
MEng Civil Engineering (The George Washington University, 1998)

I hate to say it, but Griffin is now going to be trashed, and his reputation ruined. This will not go down well with the majority of the NASA/JPL type folks, who pretty much ARE in the AGW camp.

Heretics must be silenced, you know...

Disclaimer, I actually believe more or less in AGW and the idea that cutting back on Carbon emissions would be a good thing, I'm just not a Goron about it.
