Evidence? Well, with the evidence which has been published, a person would have to believe in that super dooper magical bullet. I choose to believe what seems more believable but all in all it’s still just my opinion.
‘Bugliosi also supported the OJ jury in their finding. Sorry, he has lost all credibility.’
Yep. And many who weren’t old enough don’t know he almost lost his entire case against Manson and his ‘family’...which is the only reason anyone pays him any attention.
I have no use for the guy.
[He is entitled to his opinions]
So am I. (dealt with)
And let us not forget “Outrage”; Vinnie’s little diddy arguing that 9 SCOTUS justices got it wrong in pronouncing that a sitting US President was not immune from a civil suit based on conduct that took place prior to being elected.
If it was up to VB, the ‘Toon would have gotten a pass for his conduct with Paula Jones. Even Darth Vader Ginsburg ruled that the bent one was still a US citizen, subject to justice like every other US citizen. Da’ bug would have us believe that we have a King or some other life form that rises above us the rest of us mere mortals not imbued with “the divine right of liberals”. F him and the horses__t he rides on...
I stand corrected — Outrage was his book about OJ — “No Island of Sanity” was his book taking the SCOTUS to task for ruling that Clinton was still exposed to civil liability for his sexual harassment of Paula Jones.
Yes you are. But they are opinions about something unrelated to the subject of this book. What I said was, "deal with the subject matter".
What is magical about a bullet going in a straight line? Or a jacketed bullet passing only through soft tissue hitting someone else seated in its path?
I stated no such thing.
I am a big fan of Bugliosi, in many respects. His work in the Manson case was brilliant, but he was also very much helped (unwittingly) by Manson himself. His work on the OJ case and the murder case in the Pacific, are also excellent. I have read three of his books, including the one on the 2000 election.
I believe in that case he made at least one serious and crucial blunder. Thus my point was not (as you took it) that he was a "liberal" so do not believe him. My point was the man, as brilliant as he may be is capable of making serious errors in judgment (as he did in the Florida election case).
Thus if I read the JFK book, which I probably will do, Bugliosi will have to sell me on the facts and I am not buying it based on his reputation.
Bugliosi is a whacked out leftist.
Don’t waste your time.
I have no idea on what you base that statement on. Two comments:
The conviction of the family members was a slam dunk and never in question.
The case against Charles Manson was an extremely difficult case to prove, as he had to prove that Manson controlled the family enough to get them to commit murder on his request. Bugliosi conceded that Manson was never at the crime scenes.
Bugliosi is one of the best criminal lawyers in the country and he will be the first to tell you so.
I'll tell him you said so.
‘I have no idea on what you base that statement on. Two comments:

To the first, I suggest you read the Bug’s own book about the case. Had one of the women involved had a competent attorney, the case would have fallen apart based on the ‘handwritting analysis’ of the bloody lettering....which wouldn’t have provided hard evidence, but the lawyer told her to refuse the test.
Which leads us to the second part, the claim it was a ‘slam dunk’. Far from it, again as the Bug noted repeatedly in his own book about the case.
Time clouds the memory, and it was four decades ago.
For years I thought there was a conspiracy but I found so many lies from the conspiracy people . Some examples are.
The motorcade didn’t follow the route to dealy plaza.
Fact is they did but two newapapers printed the route days before the visit. One newspaper printed it wrong . They use that version to try to prove the conspiracy point. And others use that same kind of trick using misprints etc to try to prove a conspiracy.
Jean Hill was the woman in the red dress if you watch the film of the shooting. She has changed her story so many times. First she said she heard shots, but only after 1977 she said she saw the shooter behind the grassy knoll. As here is a surprise. Oliver Stone wrote the forward to her book .
I have no doubt that Oswald did it. ABC put out an excellent dvd on this with Peter Jennings.
Robert Kennedy was not afraid to go after the Mob and if he thought it was some kind of conspiracy he would have gone after the person or persons who did it.
