I’ll second that. I argued vociferously with anyone who called W stupid or who challenged his alleged lack of curiosity but I wonder now if I’ve been wrong all along. Nobody wins from keeping this issue alive except the ‘Rats and they win with or without a bill. But for the GOP this bill is a loser no matter what...if this bill passes with significant GOP support it’s going to tear the party apart. Does he get this? Does he care?

The country clubbers don’t care. They want cheap labor regardless of the mayhem it causes us lower run schleps. The peasants can burn and pillage and it won’t affect those in the big houses on the hill, which is what the RINOS represent. Amen. No matter what happens the GOP is the biggest loser—after the country. If the bill gets killed, the Rep candidate will be excoriated as being racist and a natavist and the entire GOP will be so branded. And the Dems will say, like they did in 2006, that they favored the WH plan.

I don’t understand how even Dems could support something so obviously unfair. The voters should punish anyone who votes for this.
