He IS his father! He speaks of a “great immigration tradition” while trying to destroy it. The man is a boob and after leaving office will probaly take his show on the road with Jimmy Carter.
While I voted for GWB twice, I have come to realize that he is from the checked pants, country club wing of the Republican Party, the so-called moderates, who value potential votes over maintaining any Conservative principles.
Just like his father.
GW Bush is prepared to use his political capital to push this monstrous immigration bill and a totally unnecessary war in Iraq. Some conservative, huh? Just like his father.
I'm starting to believe that he has lost control of his agenda but doesn't know what else to do. Like LBJ at the end of his road--braying at the microphone, repeating the same cliches to an increasingly skeptical and downright unbelieving audience.
He must know his credibility is sinking, even as he attacks his former base. What a pathetic way to drizzle away a presidency.
