Now this:

“A lot of Americans are skeptical about immigration reform, primarily because they don’t think the government can fix the problems,” Bush said.

“And my answer to the skeptics is: give us a chance to fix the problems in a comprehensive way that enforces our border and treats people with decency and respect. Give us a chance to fix this problem.”

Is enfuriating, to say that “Gee how did all of these illegals make it in here?” Is insulting to anyone with half a brain’s intelligence, GWB has been office for 7 years, we had a major terror attack 6 years ago, and just now, we are to believe that GWB et al should be trusted to fix this problem by granting amnesty through a sham program.

And then you attack your fellow Republicans? After all the water carrying we have done for you?

uberrima fides cui bono fuisset?

I have never heard of a Democrat president attacking a part of the Democrat base, but Republican presidents undermine and humiliate their base with regularity. Why is this? Even LBJ didn’t attack George Wallace: he just ignored him.
